Four Corners of the South Baltic - Bornholm, Rügen, Œwinoujœcie and Southeast Skåne  - have cooperated since 1995. The aim of this project is to enlarge the knowledge about the Baltic Sea region, to reinforce the regional identity and to improve  integration among the inhabitants. 
An important part of this project is the cooperation of the youth, for instance Youth Parliament of Four Corners. Thanks to this initiative`, young inhabitants of the region have an influence on the positive development of the Four Corners.
From July 2003 until June 2006 a project „Four Corners of the South Baltic – developing regions in the heart of united Europe” was carried out, which was partially funded from the means of the European Union as a part of the programme Interreg IIIB. Consequently, different publicity materials about Four Corners were published, artistic workshops and „Four Corners Race” were organised and many youth projects on different topics were conducted.
