Girls' Run
10 March

The 7th edition of the recreational run. Organised to mark the Women's Day, the event has a sporting and recreational character, and is addressed to girls, women and men – the latter will be allowed to enter the race provided that they style themselves as the "fair sex". After the main race there will also be a fun run – the 100-m Run on High Heels on the Promenada. Participation is allowed only in high heels. Nordic walkers may also participate in the fun run.

(Majówka) May Day Picnic
27 April-5 May

May organized by municipal institutions and various associations. Family festivities, bicycle trips, concerts, exhibitions, shows and workshops will meet the preferences of both people who like active recreation and those who prefer the more relaxed leisure. Traditionally, during the May weekend, there will be footraces to celebrate the Constitution of 3 May holiday, at various distances according to age and skill level.holidays are an opportunity to spend days off with your family, children and friends. During this time, Świnoujście hosts various sporting, cultural and recreational events.

Wyspa Kontrapunkt (Counterpoint Island)
10-12 May

The Small Form Theatre Festival KONTRAPUNKT is one of the oldest and largest Polish theatre festivals. Invariably, for more than half a century, its core has been the competition trend – the presentation of what is important and valuable on theatrical stages. It is a kind of barometer of the condition of contemporary theatre, and also an exciting competition. This year, for the first time, the KONTRAPUNKT is a festival of art not only for the city of Szczecin, but also for Świnoujście.

WYSPA KONTRAPUNKT (COUNTERPOINT ISLAND) is a new cultural initiative as part of which the best theatre performances selected from one of the oldest Theatre Festivals
in Poland will be presented in Świnoujście. Our island, wide open to the magic of the theatre, has the power of Prospero, who alleviates the anxiety of the soul of the modern Caliban. The Island of the KONTRAPUNKT Theatre has the ambition to become a permanent fixture in the ever-changing world of today, and this year it will be filled with theatrical events for three days. There will be performances and monodramas on the Theatre Stage of the Cultural Centre, as well as OFF KONTRAPUNKT performances in the industrial space of the Hall on Basen Północny.

The 54th Small Form Theatres Festival KONTRAPUNKT will be held in Szczecin between 6 and 13 May 2019 (with a prologue on 29 April 2019).

Świnoujście goes biking!

16th Critical Mass –  11 May
17th Critical Mass –  14 September

Świnoujście is a cyclist-friendly city with bicycle routes and trails that are connected to routes on the German side, thanks to which you can visit the entire island of Usedom. Starting the cycling season with a critical mass, i.e. with a large number of cyclists riding through the city, aims at drawing attention to cyclists as equal road traffic participants. After the ride is over, there will be a bicycle festival with various games for cyclists.  

10 Bicycle Orienteering Race
26 May

The race organised by the Uznam Sports Club will provide a good opportunity for a bicycle trip for whole families, groups of friends or classes. Each participant gets a
map with designated checkpoints and has an assigned route to cover.
The routes are divided into three categories, depending on the level of difficulty: for families with children, youth and adults, as well as advanced cyclists.

Days of the Sea
21-22 June

As befits a sea festival, there will be lots of sailing excitement. Organised on the waters of the Pomeranian Bay, the Days of the Sea Regatta, as well as other maritime competitions and exhibitions guarantee a unique experience for sailing lovers. The event programme also includes concerts of Polish pop stars, contests and games for children. During the Days of the Sea, the Navy, celebrating its holiday, makes its vessels adorned with flags available to public.

Babolat ITF Seniors Cup Tournament
03-10 June

The Babolat ITF Tennis tournament has been qualified to the group of the most important events of this type in the world and may attract tennis stars to our courts. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has decided that the event deserves the highest organisational rating, Grade 1. This means more ranking points for participants and winners of individual rungs of competition ladders. This one-of-a-kind event takes place simultaneously in two countries:  Świnoujście, Poland and Ahlbeck, Germany. Year after year, it attracts players from Poland, Germany and Sweden. Female and male competitors compete in age categories ranging from 35+ to 85+.

Świnoujscie Match Race, Polish Match Tour, European Match Race Tour
20-23 June

Świnoujscie regatta for advanced and professional match racing teams is a high-profile sporting event. The international umpires and the leading competitors guarantee a top competition level. It is yet another show of exciting water competitions involving the best match racing players which will provide a lot of attractions to both residents and tourists. Spectacular and dynamic regatta can be seen from the shore of the Pomeranian Bay or the Świna River.

Morski Turniej Tenisowy Gwiazd (Seaside Tennis Stars Tournament)
30 June - 1 July

As has been tradition for years now, television stars will begin the summer tennis season in Świnoujście. Famous actors, cabaret artists, sportspeople and front-page names will compete on the tennis courts. Played in the spirit of fair play, the tournaments abound in funny moments and comments. Spectators have an opportunity to cheer on their screen favourites on live.

21st International Music Festival, Świnoujskie Wieczory Organowe (Evenings of Organ Music in Świnoujście)
14 June-31August

Organised by the Friends of Świnoujście Society, the festival will abound in recognised names of performers from Poland and the world. Sacral music, classical music, and lighter pieces played on organs and in combination with other instruments promote both early and modern music. The original sound of a unique, historic instrument, namely the organs in the Church of Christ the King will remain in the hearts of many listeners. The concerts will take place every Friday from June to the end of August, at 19.00, in the Christ the King Church, Plac Kościelny 1.

Holiday City of Women
8-11 July

The largest summer festival for women. The idea behind the event is to create a unique space exclusively for women. Workshops, trainings, consultations, meetings, talks and concerts in the summer atmosphere of a seaside resort are, above all, a way to relax. Concerts, performances and cabaret shows will provide a healthy dose of entertainment.

3rd Cycling Ultramarathon Tour De PoMorze 700 km Non-Stop
26-29 July

The third edition of the race, which is included into this year's World Cup WUCA 2019 calendar, is intended for advanced cyclists who will have to cover the required distance
in 50 hours. On the day before the start of the race, participants will take part in an honorary start of the race, combined with this year’s critical mass.

Grechuta Festival Świnoujście 2019
7-10 August

The many festival events related to Marek Grechuta’s works are not addressed only to the artist’s fans. The multi-faceted event shows the diversity of Marek Grechuta’s artistic output. The performers eagerly reach for the artist's works not only to cherish his memory, but also to expose younger generations to the best models there are. Apart from performances, exhibitions, films and meetings, music is at the core of the event. The most prominent Polish artists come to the city of forty-four islands, but there is also a place for those who are at the very beginning of their careers. Danuta Grechuta, the artists’s wife, is among the friends of the city, and every year she participates in the festival. Most of the concerts take place on a stage that saw the beginnings of the artist's career – the Marek Grechuta  Amphitheatre.

Polish Sailing Extraclass, Club Championships of the Polish Sailing Association
9-11 August

Polish Sailing Extraclass is the first ever series of regatta in the form of Polish Club Championships. The best Polish sailing clubs will meet throughout the season on various regatta reservoirs to compete for the title of the best Polish sailing club. Twelve best sailing clubs from all over Poland take part in the event. The top four are promoted to the Sailing Champions League.

20th Baltic Polonez Cup Race 2019
12-17 August

A prestigious sailing event featuring a leading group of oceanic 
and seagoing yachtsmen. The event has grown to become one of the most important Baltic ballast-yacht regatta. For sailing lovers, the event is an opportunity to see the famous skippers and their yachts. The regatta take place on the Świnoujście – Christianso – Świnoujście route. The vessels that leave and enter the port can be observed from the breakwaters and the beach.

11th Sail Świnoujście and the 35th Festival of Maritime Song "Wiatrak 2019"
16-18 August

Majestic sailing ships and smaller vessels moored at the Władysław IV Embankment, sailing commands given from the decks, and the sounds of sea shanties leave no doubt that there is a great feast of the seamen in Świnoujście. During this time, everyone has an opportunity to sail into the sea and taste the nautical life. Vessel parade cruises at sunset are a real treat. They are usually accompanied by concerts of shanty bands, which often culminate with dance parties on board.  The stage placed on the site of the associated fair attracts visitors with the music of the seamen. Concerts at the "Wiatrak" Festival are high quality shanties.

49. FAMA – International Artistic Campus
Second half of August

FAMA boils with the energy of young people who come to Świnoujście to polish their artistic skills and passions under the supervision of teachers and masters. During the campus, they prepare projects in many fields of art. The fruits of their work include exhibitions, shows, concerts, performances, happenings and animations for children and adults. During this time, Świnoujście resounds with music of various styles, tempts with the colours of images captured on various media and those created live in front of spectators. It was during FAMA that most of Polish musicians, singers, actors, dancers, journalists, photographers, artists, performers, visual artists, writers and poets, art critics, cultural animators and inspectors took their first steps.

International Lighthouse Day
17-18 August

Neptune's cavalcade through the streets of the city, sea trials , festivities, games for children, a picnic for adults, night tours of the lighthouse – these are just some of the offers prepared for this day by the Association of Lighthouse Lovers. This is a recurring event celebrated on the third Sunday of August.

The 8th Stronghold Days on the Islands – Napoleon at the mouth of the Świna River.
6th-8th September 2019

The eighth edition of a historical event culminated with a battle reenactment.

This year we’re going back to the Napoleonic Wars and the times when Świnoujście was just starting to flourish as a health resort!

40th Świnoujście – Wolgast Marathon, 29th Half Marathon and 4th Relay
07 September

The marathon has been attracting many runners from Poland, Germany and other countries for many years. Leading from Świnoujście along the coastal trail through the island of Usedom to Wolgast in Germany, although beautiful and full of unforgettable views, the marathon route is also extremely demanding. The marathon is unique in that it runs through two countries. At the same time, a half-marathon is held in Wolgast. The route of the half marathon leads runners through the charming towns and villages on the island of Usedom, starting and finishing in the once ducal town of Wolgast.

6th Invasion of the Winter Swimming Santa Clauses
07 December

Hot fun in winter scenery. This is possible only for Morsy (winter swimmers), who come to this event from almost all of Poland and neighbouring German towns. Santa Clauses, snowflakes and elves with smiles on their faces all going into cold water. The fun does not end in the water, though, as there are more attractions on the beach awaiting the participants, including the Miss and Mister Winter-Swimming Santa Clauses competition, performances and quad rides.

Christmas Fair
December

We will feel the magic of Christmas at the Christmas Fair held in the city centre. Amidst lights, garlands, Christmas trees and carols, you can enjoy traditional specialties like pierogi, bigos, cakes and stock up on Christmas gifts. The Fair will have children’s attractions, too, including meetings with Santa  Claus, animations, games and the Venetian Carousel.
