As of May, Eurolot airlines launch direct flights from Warsaw to Heringsdorf. Heringsdorf is a town on the Baltic Sea coast, located approximately 12 kilometres from Świnoujście, also on the Island of Usedom (Uznam). Flights Warsaw – Heringsdorf – Warsaw will be served once a week on Saturdays.

The 20 th Usedom Music Festival 21 September – 12 October For three weeks, the music of one Baltic state will resound in sacral buildings, concert halls, castles, hotel venues and galleries (mainly on the German side of Usedom Island). Some concerts are held in Świnoujście, as well. Each and every year, the main event features concerts in the extraordinary scenery and acoustics of the brick edifice of the former power plant in Peenemünde (Germany). The Usedom Music Festival is a real feast for the ears.

The Cycling Weekend 21-22 September This two-day event, which promotes bicycle tourism in the land of 44 islands, features bicycle trips on both Polish and German sides of Usedom Island, guided cycling outings following the monuments spotted about the area around Świnoujście, and other bicycle orienteering activities. One of its highlights is the affair known as the “Critical Mass”, which entails the organised passing through of the largest number of cyclists along a set route.

The Stronghold Days on the Islands 13-15 September This three-day event includes re-enactments of the many battles fought over the area as done by specialised historical groups, as well as historical parades, exhibitions and rallies of antique vehicles. What is more, tourists can participate in guided tours through the Island's numerous fortifications, and enjoy meetings with historians, and with militaria enthusiasts. The Stronghold Days are a perfect opportunity to acquaint one and all with the military history of Świnoujście and to have some fun.

The 34 th International Świnoujście – Wolgast Marathon 7 September This trans-border event has been held in Świnoujście since the end of the 1970s, and features the participation of almost 300 marathoners, mainly from Poland and Germany. Its route runs along a coastal trail from Świnoujście, through the German part of Uznam Island, to Wolgast. Due to the varied land-forms experienced, the marathon is one of the most attractive and most demanding ones in Europe. Apart from the marathon, the region also holds a half marathon in Wolgast and its vicinity.

FAMA – The International Artistic Campus 18-30 August For many years now, students have flocked to Świnoujście in August, to take part in 'Fama' – the only interdisciplinary artistic event in Poland. This get-together simultaneously aims at publicizing, passing on to and perfecting the artistry of these young craftsmen, dancers, performance artists and musicians. In so doing, it links classical music, jazz, bands of all kinds, singers, dancers, theatres, cabarets, interdisciplinary art groups, films, photography, performance art, artistes, writers, journalists, art critics, culture promoters and stage managers. The goal of this event is to introduce to the world, Poland's most talented young artists, and to create a platform for their development and for their work to be seen, heard and evaluated. The International Lighthouse Day 18 August A festival, games for children, a picnic for adults, a chance for a night-time visit a working lighthouse, these are just a few of attractions prepared for this day by the Lovers of Lighthouses Association.
