The City Secretary is responsible for the following issues: 

1. coordinating cooperation between the Mayor and the City Council,
2. ensuring the efficient operation of the City Hall,
3. ensuring efficient customer service,
4. information technology,
5. international cooperation and European integration,
6. the functioning of the Public Information Bulletin,
7. the office and economic service of the City Hall,
8. coordinating and organising elections, censuses and referenda.

Supervises the following organisational units of the City Hall

• The Office of the City Council
• The Office of Information Technology
• The Department of Organisation
